Special Ministries Meeting has been moved to THIS Tuesday January 07 at 7pm.

Board Meeting is THIS Thursday January 09 at 7pm.

Work Day is Saturday January 11 at 8am.

Yearly Permission Slips will be handed out THIS Sunday January 12. Please have them completed and returned to Penny by NEXT Sunday January 19. There is a parent copy of a tentative calendar of events at the back of the permission slip.

Our Annual Meeting Part 2 Reports will be held on Sunday January 19. If you are required to submit a report, please have them to Pastor Kevin by NEXT Sunday January 12.

NYI Bake & Take is Saturday January 25. This is a “Service Project”. We will be meeting at 10am and then helping with the Kindness Outreach afterwards.

Please let Ronnie know by NEXT Sunday January 12, if you are planning to attend.

Bob Prescott will be speaking on Sunday January 26. We will have a covered dish Celebration Meal afterwards. There will be NO Sunday School.

We need volunteers for Children’s Church for THIS year. A sign up sheet will be passed on Sunday. Clearances are required. If we do not have volunteers, we will not be able to have Children’s Church.

Hi Everybody

I received a few prayer requests from Arlene for people in need of prayer. First Marcia Martin is still in a facility and has been diagnosed with the flu. Pray that she is able to overcome the flu and the infection that put her in the hospital to begin with.

Marcia also asked that we pray for Cindy Gordon who suffered a fall, injuring her knee, and has developed blood clots. Pray that the clots will dissipate and the knee will heal properly.

Pray also for Janet wood, who also has suffered a fall and is in the hospital. Pray that the injuries she has sustained will heal and she will be able to return home.

Finally, Arlene’s friend Linda Lucas, has a son who is in the hospital. I am not certain the reason but pray that this son will receive the Lord’s healing and be able to return home and to good health.

Hi everybody

I received word that Allen Smith’s father passed away Friday. We ask that you would keep the Smith family in your prayers as they grieve and mourn during this time.  Pray that they would be comforted and would be able to feel the presence of God as they deal with their emotions over the next few days.

Arrangements have been made and they are as follows: visitation will be Friday, January 3, from 10 am to 2 pm at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Schellsburg. The funeral will follow at 2:00. An obituary may be found at https://www.geiselfuneral.com/obituaries/edwin-smith .

Sunday Services on December 29 will be held at Windber Church of the Nazarene. Services begin at 10:45am. There will not be any services at Ryot. The address is in the bulletin.
